Sourcing Guide
A practical buying guide for importers who need mixed truck spare parts by part number, truck model, photos and shipment plan.
Heavy duty truck parts sourcing is rarely a single-item purchase. A normal importer, fleet workshop or distributor may need filters, brake parts, clutch parts, cab parts, sensors, bearings and chassis items in one order. The most efficient way to start is to prepare one mixed purchase list, then match each item by part number, vehicle model and old-part photos.
For every item, collect the part number or catalog code, truck brand, truck model, engine model, quantity and destination country. If the part number is missing, provide clear photos of the old part, package label, nameplate, installation position and any stamped numbers. These details help avoid choosing a part that looks similar but has a different thread, seal, height, port position or mounting style.
Model names can be written differently across markets. Sinotruk HOWO may also be described as HOWO A7, HOWO T5G or HOWO T7H. Shacman parts may be requested by F3000, H3000 or X3000. Foton may appear as Auman, Aumark, Forland or Aoling. A model name is useful for searching, but the final confirmation should still use part number, dimensions and old-part photos.
When the list is long, group items by system: filters and maintenance parts, engine parts, cooling parts, clutch and transmission, chassis and suspension, cab parts and electrical parts. This makes quotation and checking faster, especially when several truck brands are mixed in one purchase plan.
Buying each small item separately can increase communication time, sample checking time and freight cost. A consolidated order lets compatible items share one shipment plan where quantity, packing and lead time allow it. This is why one-stop sourcing is useful for distributors and repair workshops that replenish many regular items together.
Before placing an order, confirm the exact part number, replacement reference, key dimensions, thread or port type, gasket or seal shape, and application notes. For filter products, check height, outer diameter, inner diameter, thread and whether the filter is spin-on, cartridge, base, head or assembly. For parts with several versions, send the old part photo before payment.
A good inquiry should include the purchase list, quantities, destination country, target truck models, photos and any preferred packing requirements. If some items are not listed online, include them anyway. The shown catalog can be used as a starting point, while related parts can be checked through supplier channels and quoted together when practical.
